Units of Measure (UOM) and Data Archive

Some connectors can detect a value's unit of measure (UOM) and description. The unit's representation in Data Archive depends on the unit representation in the data source and the connector behavior. The connector may attempt to map the unit from the data source into a standard unit abbreviation. Representing units in Data Archive is informational only; the units do not affect the representation or storage of the value.

The value for the EngUnits attribute in Data Archive is the unit representation provided by the connector. The user guide for each connector explains how units of measure are handled.
