Enable PI AF access for the PI Data Collection Manager identity

Use PI System Explorer to provide the PI Data Collection Manager Windows account with access to PI AF database.

You must have already created a Windows identity for PI Data Collection Manager.

1. In PI System Explorer, select Database.

2. In the Select Database window, select Edit Security.

3. In the Security Configuration window under the Items to Configure list, select the Item check box to select all the items.

4. Next to the Identities list, select Add.

5. In the Select Identity window, select the PI Data Collection Manager identity, and then select OK.

6. Under the Permissions for list, select the following:

   • Read

   • Read Data

7. To save the settings and close the window, select OK.
