Enable PI AF database access for the PI Connector Relay identity

Use PI System Explorer to provide the PI Connector Relay Windows account with access to PI AF database.

You must have already created a PI AF database and Windows identity for PI Connector Relay.

1. From PI System Explorer, select Database.

2. In the Select Database window, select the database for the relay and right-click Security.

3. In the Security Configuration window, select Add.

4. In the Select Identity window, select the PI Connector Relay identity, and then select OK.

5. In the Security Configuration window under Items to Configure, select the following:

   • Elements

   • Element templates

   • Enumeration sets

   • Event Frames

6. In the Permissions for Identity_Name box, select the following:

   • Read/Write

   • Read/Write Data

7. To save the settings and close the window, select OK.
