Enable Data Archive access for the PI Data Collection Manager identity

Use PI System Management Tools to provide the PI identity for PI Data Collection Manager with read access to the PIDBSEC, PIDS, PIPOINT, PIREPLICATION, and PIUSER tables.

You must have already created a PI identity for PI Data Collection Manager.

1. Start PI System Management Tools.

2. Select Security > Database Security.

3. Right-click the PIDBSEC table and select Properties.

4. In the Security window, select Add.

5. In the Select window, double-click the PI Data Collection Manager identity to add it to the access control list.

6. In the Security window, enable Read for the PI Data Collection Manager identity, and then select OK to save the settings and close the window.

7. Repeat these steps for the following tables:

   • PIDS

   • PIPOINT

   • PIREPLICATION

   • PIUSER
