Edit a data selection query

  • Last UpdatedFeb 21, 2025

As you select data from a data source, queries are automatically created based on the data you selected. You can customize a query so that it applies to all the data. For example, you might want to select all processes from the local machine that start with 'c', but selecting them individually could be time consuming. Instead, you can create a selection query.

Complete all steps in Discover data source contents and steps 1-4 in Learn how to select data.

  1. On the data selection screen, select New Selection Query.

  2. Under Selection Rules, edit the criteria.

For example, you could select one process to create the following query:

    Select > Any Object > Where > Path > Starts With > localhost|c

  3. Select Run Selection Query.
