Create a PI AF identity for PI Data Collection Manager

To give PI Data Collection Manager permission to read the PI AF database, create and map a PI AF identity for the PI Data Collection Manager Windows account.

1. In PI System Explorer, select File > Server Properties.

2. In the PI AF Server Properties window, select the Identities tab.

3. Right-click anywhere in the list and select New Identity.

4. In the Identity Properties window, enter a name and description for the PI Data Collection Manager identity, and make sure Identity is Enabled is selected.

5. Select the Mappings tab, then select Add.

6. In the Mapping Properties window, add the Windows account used by PI Data Collection Manager to the Account field.

7. To save the settings and close the Mapping Properties window, select OK.

8. To close the Identity Properties window, select OK.

9. To close the PI AF Server Properties window, select OK.
