Build cache files on remote interface machines

The cache files for disconnected startup can be built from either the interface node or the remote node for the interface.
Building cache files on remote machines requires disconnected startup to be enabled and a connection from the interface to Data Archive.
-
Start the interface instance on the remote node.
The interface delays startup and creates two local cache files, one for PI point configuration and the other for PI digital state information for interface startup.
-
Wait for the interface to synch point information from Data Archive, and then transfer the cache files to the interface node you want to use.
If the node you want to use cannot synch points, use the command line to disable syncing by setting the parameter /cachesynch=0.
-
Start the interface on the node you want to use.
The interface loads the points from the cache file and begins collecting data.
-
View the message logs to verify that the interface is using the existing cache files on the correct machine.
