PI Universal Interface UniInt Framework

Stop the interface

  • Last UpdatedApr 03, 2023

You can stop the interface and trigger an orderly shutdown where UniInt performs all the shutdown processes.

  1. For orderly shutdown of interfaces running as a service, stop the interface service in one of two ways:

    • Stop the interface service in PI ICU.

    • Stop the interface service in Windows.

If the computer crashes or the process is stopped, the interface can be terminated without completing an orderly shutdown.

  2. For interfaces running interactively in a command prompt window, press Ctrl+C to begin orderly shutdown.

Note: To interrupt orderly shutdown for interactive interface processes in the command prompt window, press Ctrl+C more than once.
