Parameters can be used to configure general interface settings, the Windows service, failover, and disconnected startup.
Parameter syntax uses the following rules:
-
Parameters are not case sensitive
-
Parameter values or parameters that use embedded spaces must be enclosed in quotes
-
Enable or disable parameters that do not have values either by adding or removing the parameter.
-
Most interfaces can use either the / or - characters as parameter delimiters, unless specified in the interface user guide. Use PI ICU to select the delimiter.
Each interface has a list of supported parameters, which you can view in a command prompt window when running the interface interactively by entering /help. Interface version information is available by entering /v.
Windows-related parameters should never be included in the .bat file for the interface.
