PI point updates

After startup, the interface checks for points that have been added, changed, or deleted.
Normal point updates happen in a cycle with the following conditions:
-
Default point updates occur every two minutes after startup and process 25 point updates at a time.
-
For more than 25 pending updates, the interface processes updates in batches and splits the update interval to increase processing speed. Updates occur every 30 seconds or at one-quarter of the update interval (updateinterval) parameter, whichever is lower, until the updates are complete.
UniInt writes the digital state SCAN OFF to any removed points.
Updates and point synchronization that involve numerous point changes require additional time before the interface handles all the point changes. To update large batches of point updates at the same time, see the Process large point updates section in this document.
Without disconnected startup, any point updates that occur during a loss of connection to the Data Archive are lost until the interface is restarted.
