Configure buffering for failover

Configure buffering for UniInt failover using PI ICU. Buffering can be configured to use PI Buffer Subsystem.

1. Open PI ICU and select the interface instance.

2. Click Tools > Buffering and configure buffering.

   Note: If PI ICU 1.4.15 (or later) or PI BufferSubsystem 4.3 (or later) is installed, and API Buffer Server is in use, then the installation will prompt you to migrate towards exclusive use of PI Buffer Server as the buffering mechanism. During this migration API Buffer Server will be removed from the machine. For more information about buffering subsystems, see Interface buffering overview and the PI Interface Configuration Utility User Guide.

3. Verify that buffering is working.

After you configure buffering, configure the location of the shared file.
