AVEVA Simulation for Triconex Systems Simulation Emulator Files

In this section, you will create the required TriStation Emulator files required for a DYNSIM simulation configured with a TRISIM engine.
NOTE: Read the AVEVA Simulation for Triconex Systems – User Guide sections Simulation Configuration and TRISIM Engine before proceeding.
When a DYNSIM simulation configured with a TRISIM engine is started, the simulation attempts to start the associated TriStation Emulator files. If the files are not present, the simulation cannot run. The TriStation Emulator files must be downloaded before the DYNSIM simulation can be run.
You will start the DYNSIM simulation configured with a TRISIM engine (but without the emulator files present), then generate the emulator files from TriStation, then shutdown the DYNSIM simulation and restart it with the recently downloaded emulator files.
In this section, we will cover the procedure for generating the necessary emulator files. Four files are needed: TRINODE01.eme, TRINODE01.ems, TRINODE01.emt, and TRINODE01.emts. n this example, the TriStation Emulator node name is TRINODE01. Your node name may be different. After these emulator files are present, no further downloads are required unless the controls logic is changed.
WARNING! Do not Run a simulation that is configured with a TRISIM engine prior to downloading the emulator files.
Before proceeding, ensure that DYNSIM has been started and that a Simulation containing a TRISIM engine has been Loaded
. The TRINODE01 window (see below) should start automatically. This window must not
be closed while TriStation is connected to DYNSIM.
NOTE: DYNSIM simulation files must be loaded before starting the TriStation software.
