This section outlines how to create a simple, physical DYNSIM simulation process model that will eventually interface with the TriStation "Simple_Flowsheet.PT2" controls downloaded in the previous section.
The following tutorial explains construction and operation of a simple flowsheet as well as:
-
Using pumps, tanks, valves and other objects.
-
Inputting data values for objects.
-
Connecting the objects.
-
Operating the simulation.
-
Construction of custom indicators and widgets to allow the user to interact with the flowsheet.
The DYNSIM interface is designed to incorporate many of the elements found in the PRO/II GUI. As with a PRO/II simulation, you can follow these simulation setup steps:
-
Define the Units of Measure (UOM).
-
Select components and define component slates.
-
Define a thermodynamic method.
-
Connect the units using appropriate streams.
-
Run the simulation and monitor the dynamic behavior of the process.
