AVEVA™ Simulation for Triconex™ Systems

Cross Referencing

  • Last UpdatedJun 30, 2020
  • 1 minute read

In this section, you will learn how to send data values from one simulation engine to another engine. In this case from our DYNSIM process model engine DYNSIML1 (that contains the tank model created in the previous sections) to the TRISIM engine TRISIM1 (that communicates with the TriStation Emulator node TRINODE01 that emulates the TriStation controls).

Using this tutorial, you will:

  • Create a cross-reference database for the configuration.

  • Insert entries into the cross-reference database.

  • Override I/O points through the GUI.

This tutorial makes the following assumptions:

  • The Demo controls "Simple_Flowsheet.PT2" are open in TriStation.

  • The DYNSIM user interface is displayed.

  • The "FirstSim" or "Simple_Flowsheet_TSBase" simulation is loaded and the Tank Level Control flowsheet is active.

  • Enable Cross Referencing was selected when the simulation was loaded.
