Monitoring TriStation Tagnames in AVEVA Dynamic Simulation

When multiple Triconex PT2/PT2X files/TRISIM engines exist in a simulation, these files often reuse the same tagname. When monitoring the value of a tagname in DYNSIM’s Point Viewer or Monitor pane, qualify the tagname with the engine name using this format:

<EngineName>##<TagName>

For example, to view VTL2_DMD on TRISIM engine TRISIM03 enter TRISIM03##VTL2_DMD in the monitor pane.
