Pre-Install Checklist

This section lists the most common obstacles encountered by users when installing TRISIM. See the AVEVA Simulation for Triconex Systems – Installation Guide for complete details.

• TriStation 1131 v4.x or later must be present for TRISIM 2020 to function.

• TRISIM does NOT support Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 or 2008.

• TRISIM 2020 supports DYNSIM 5.3.2 or later. TRISIM 2020 has not been tested with DYNSIM 5.2.1 - 5.3.1 but is expected to work with these versions. Earlier DYNSIM versions are not compatible with TRISIM 2020.

• TRISIM testing has been performed on the following operating systems:

  • Windows 10 Enterprise

  • Windows 10 Professional

  • Windows Server 2016

  • Windows Server 2019

    Untested operating systems are not supported.

• If you have a firewall installed, it may interfere with the DSS Activation Manager Service. You will need to put the firewall in "learning mode" the first time you start up TRISIM or allow it to start various TRISIM processes with dynamic port addresses.

• Windows User Account Control (UAC) may need to be turned off to allow DYNSIM and TRISIM to be installed.
