Adding Button Widgets

Add buttons to allow setting the local/remote status of MTL1_REMOTE by following the instructions below.

1. Expand the Widgets library and select Button.

   

2. Add a button to Tank Level Control.

3. Right-click near the button to bring up the context menu, and then choose Draw Attributes.

4. Enter MTL1_REMOTE in the Point Name field and enter 1 in the Point Value field. Now pressing the button sets MTL1_REMOTE to 1.

5. Enter REMOTE in the Button Label field.

6. Click OK.

   

7. Select Button in the Widgets library.

8. In the Tank Level Control window, click anywhere to the right of the REMOTE button to add a button.

9. Right-click near the button to bring up the context menu. Select Draw Attributes.

10. Enter MTL1_REMOTE in the Point Name field and enter 0 in the Point Value field. Now pressing the button sets MTL1_REMOTE to 0.

11. Enter LOCAL in the Button Label field.

12. Click OK.

    

13. In the Tank Level Control window toolbar, click the Lasso Select icon ().

14. Draw a box around both the REMOTE and LOCAL buttons. Both buttons should be selected.

15. On the main window, click the Draw menu, select Align and then Align Vertical Middle or click the appropriate toolbar icon (). Notice that the buttons are now aligned vertically.
