AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum Cloud Roles and Permissions

For the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum service, the following user roles are available:

Owner (previously Account Owner)

Provides all permissions. Allows users to:

• Create and manage Edge Connectors.

• Create new projects within their account as well as manage existing projects through the permissions granted by the Project Manager role on all projects in the account.

Edge Connectors Admin

Allows the user to create and manage Edge Connectors.

Projects Admin

Allows the user to create new projects within their account as well as manage existing projects through the permissions granted by the Project Manager role on all projects in the account.

Project Manager

Applies to a specific project which is selected on assigning the role. Allows the user to:

• Manage the project in Spectrum, for example, controlling which Edge Connectors it is enabled at.

• Manage referenced projects.

• Contribute to project through the Project Writer functionality for that project.

Project Subscriptions Manager

Applies to a specific project which is selected on assigning the role. Allows the user to control which Edge Connectors the Project is enabled at without having full Project Manager permissions.

Project Writer

Applies to a specific project which is selected on assigning the role. Allows the user to modify the project through AVEVA's engineering authoring components, for example, AVEVA E3D Design.

Project Reader

Applies to a specific project which is selected on assigning the role. Allows the user to see a project but they would not be able to claim elements or save changes.

Edge Connector Service

This is required for Edge Connector access and should not be assigned to users.

Storage Writer

This is required for Edge Connector access and should not be assigned to users.
