Creates a project and defines its properties.

Project Name

Input the project name which consists of minimum 3 characters.

An error message is displayed below the input field, if you enter:

A name which is longer than 50 characters.
A two character name.
A name of a command: CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9
Characters which are not allowed, for example, ° ! \ / : * ? “ < > @ ( ) \| § $ & % { } = * + ' ` # TAB
Wrong keys at name beginning or name end, for example, . , and empty space.

An error message is displayed below the input field, if you enter an already existing project name and click Create.

The Project Name entry considers case-insensitive. That means you cannot enter projects named PlantSample and plantsample.

The case-sensitivity prevents the risk of name clashes on the Project.

Description

Input the project description which is not longer than 100 characters.

Project Code

Input a project code for a project type, for example, APS (AVEVA Plant Sample). A code consists of exactly 3 characters from A to Z and only upper cases.

Note: If you miss a required input for Name, Code or Description, an error message is displayed below the input field.

Create

Note: If you have filled the required fields, the Create button becomes available.

Select Create to add the new defined project to the Projects Page.
