Enhancements

The following new and enhanced functionality is delivered as part of this release.

Feature

Description

Communities

Following the release of AVEVA Unified Engineering 3.0 it will be possible to share AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum Projects with another CONNECT account, granting their users access at either Read, Write or Manage level. This will enable collaboration on a Project across organizations while each organization uses their own flex credits for the AVEVA Unified Engineering licenses. This is achieved through the new CONNECT functionality, Communities.

The Communities Administrator role must be enabled to use this functionality, a Communities Administrator can create Communities, share other accounts into a Community and share Spectrum Projects into the Community. For an Account invited to a Community they can assign the shared Spectrum Service to a Folder in their Account to access the shared Project(s).

Please note it will only be possible to access these Projects from AVEVA Unified Engineering version 3.0 onwards.

For more information, see Setup Community in CONNECT.

Folders

Following the release of AVEVA Unified Engineering 3.0 it will be possible to enable the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum Service at Folder level in CONNECT. This can be used to divide Projects into different areas and manage the Admin roles in a more granular way. Each Spectrum Service will require it’s own Edge Connector at a given location where access to the Spectrum Projects is needed.

Please note it will only be possible to access Projects in Folders from AVEVA Unified Engineering version 3.0 onwards.

For more information, see Assign Shared Spectrum Service to Folder (Invitee).
