Check internet connection

  • Verify that you have network access and can connect to the internet.

Check status of AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum service and CONNECT platform

  • Navigate to the web page:

    https://status.connect.aveva.com/

  • Check the status of CONNECT and AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum. Any known problems will be recorded on this site.

Check Edge Connector

  • Reach out to your administrator/ IT team.

  • Request they check your Edge Connector is switched on and the Connector Services are running.

    For more information, see Troubleshooting for IT engineers.

Check permissions in CONNECT

  • Ask your CONNECT Administrator that you have a role assigned for the project you are trying to use.

    This will need to be checked by an Administrator through the User Management page in CONNECT.

  • You can also verify your own permissions by checking you view the projects in the web dashboard:

    https://spectrum.connect.aveva.com/#/projects

Has the project synced to an Edge Connector?

  • From the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum Administration dashboard:

    https://spectrum.connect.aveva.com/#/projects

  • Select the project you are trying to use.

    This will display a list of Edge Connectors it is enabled on, including the sync status.

    It will only be possible to use the project in AVEVA E3D Design / AVEVA Administration if the status is Synced.

  • If the sync status is In Progress wait for it to complete.

Review log information

  • Find the log file of failed requests to the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum service at:

    %AVEVA_DESIGN_WORK%\spectrum.log

  • Check this file for errors.

  • If you raise a support request with AVEVA please supply a copy of this file.
