To add a reference project to project

  1. From the navigation pane on the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum Administration homepage, select the Project icon to display the Projects page.

  2. Select the project name, for example, Plant Sample to display its Project: Plant Sample page.

  3. Select Add Reference Projects.

The Add Reference Projects side sheet is displayed on the right side of the window.

  4. Select inside the Projects text field.

The drop-down menu appears and shows a list of available reference projects.

  5. (Optional) You can type the first letters of the reference project name to display it in the drop-down menu:

  6. Select the name of the reference project(s) you want to add. You can make multiple selections.

Selected names get converted into chips, and the Add button becomes available.

Note: If, for example, Project 1 uses code ABC, it cannot reference any other projects with code ABC. It could reference Project 2 with code XYZ, but once it does, it cannot reference any other project with code XYZ.

  7. Select Add.

The Catalog Sample project is added as reference project to Plant Sample.

For more information, see Manage Reference Projects Page.

Note: This action is logged and visible in the audit report through CONNECT. For more information, see View audit logs.

Important: To use AVEVA Unified Engineering with the project along with added reference projects, you must ensure that the project and every project it references are on the same Edge Connector.
