AVEVA Unified Engineering – Browser Access is feature that allows projects to be accessed and managed directly through a web browser. By enabling Unified Engineering - Browser Access, teams can collaborate without installing additional software, making project access simpler and more flexible.

Important: Before subscribing a project to a Unified Engineering – Browser Access service, you must create and upload a project. The Unified Engineering – Browser Access service also needs to be enabled on your CONNECT account.

Subscribe a project to a Unified Engineering – Browser Access service

  1. From the navigation pane on the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum Administration homepage, select the Project icon to display the Projects page.

  2. Select the project name which is already uploaded (Status is Ready), for example, Plant Sample to display its Project: Plant Sample page.

  3. Select Add Browser Access.

The Add Browser Access side sheet is displayed on the right side of the window.

  4. Select inside the Unified Engineering - Browser Access text field.

The drop-down menu appears and shows a list of CONNECT Folders in the Account with Unified Engineering – Browser Access enabled.

You can type the first letters of the Browser Access service name to display it in the drop-down menu.

Note: The drop-down menu only shows AVEVA Unified Engineering – Browser Access services for which the user has the Admin role assigned.

  5. Select the name of the Browser Access service(s) you want to add. You can make multiple selections.

Selected names get converted into chips, and the Add button becomes available.

  6. Select Add.

The Project is synchronized to the service selected. Initially, its status shows as Provisioning.

When the project is ready for use in the Unified Engineering – Browser Access service, its status changes to Ok.

This process may take longer for large projects, or if additional infrastructure must be provisioned. The first project subscribed to a Unified Engineering - Browser access service triggers deployment of infrastructure, which adds extra time. For more information, refer to Subscribing a Spectrum project to an AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access tenant environment in the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Browser Access documentation.
