Ensuring hardware compatibility is a foundational requirement when deploying AVEVA System Platform in a virtualized environment using hypervisors like Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware vSphere. Since System Platform involves real-time processing, high-frequency data exchange, and persistent storage operations, the underlying hardware must be certified, reliable, and fully compatible with the chosen hypervisor.

Both vSphere and Hyper-V have options to select a hardware compatibility level for the virtual machines you create.
