In order to establish communication with other components and services on the network,
System Platform and Platform Common Services (ASB services) require certain network
ports to be opened in the Windows Firewall. Typically, these ports are automatically
opened for the Windows Firewall during installation. However, if the Windows Firewall
service is disabled or not running at the time of installation, or if an alternative
firewall is in use, you will need to manually open the appropriate network ports in
the firewall. For more information about port configuration, see "Configuring Service
TCP Ports" in the Application Server User Guide (filename: IDE.pdf).
Note: The ArchestrA Service Bus (ASB) is superseded by Platform Common Services (PCS).
However, some ASB references remain in System Platform.
