The following known issues related to licensing have been identified in System Platform 2023 R2 SP1 P02:

Issue Number

Description

IMS 3978298

If a System Platform 2023 R2 SP1 node (with or without Patch 01) also includes AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2, and Patch 02 is applied, a licensing acquisition error occurs when launching the IDE and the IDE does not start.

Workaround: If this error occurs, do the following:

  1. On the affected node, copy the following two files from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin\AuthenticationProvider

    • Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Abstractions.dll

    • PCS.Client.DataStore.dll

  2. Paste the files to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin

  3. Restart the node.

You may not be able to configure AVEVA Connect on a node that contains AVEVA Enterprise Licensing if you launch a repair operation on the License Server after installing System Platform 2023 R2 SP1 P02.

Workaround: Use the following procedure if you cannot configure AVEVA Connect after running a repair operation on License Server.

  1. Close the Configurator if it is open.

  2. In File Explorer, navigate to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA\Licensing Framework\License Server

  3. Delete the following four binaries from the folder:

    • Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration.Abstractions.dll

    • Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration.dll

    • Microsoft.Extensions.Primitives.dll

    • Microsoft.Win32.Registry.dll

  4. Open the Configurator and check that the AVEVA Connect configuration is retained. If not, configure it now and save the configuration.
