Launch EC2 Windows Server instances

Open the EC2 Dashboard.

Click Launch Instance.

Select a Windows Server AMI (Amazon Machine Image).

Select an instance type and confirm that the EC2 instances match System Platform requirements for vCPU, memory, and storage, for example:

m7i.4xlarge (Xeon processors with 4:1 ratio of memory to vCPU)

c7i.4xlarge (Xeon processors with 2:1 ratio of memory to vCPU)

Configure instance details as follows:

Network: Select your VPC.

Subnet: Select the applicable subnet. Using the example given in Create private subnets, you would select AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1b.

Auto-assign Public IP: Disable.

Add storage as needed.
-
Add tags, for example Name= AOS 1 + OMI.

Review and launch, selecting an existing key pair or creating a new one.

Repeat steps 1 through 8 to launch the following instances in the second subnet that was not previously selected, for example, AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1a:

AOS 1 + OMI
-
AOS2 + OMI
-
MQTT broker
-
Galaxy Repository node
-
Historian node
-
Domain Controller

Repeat steps 1 through 8 to launch the following instances (redundant pair) in AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1b:

AOS 1 + OMI

AOS2 + OMI
