Configure AWS security groups

For additional information, see Amazon EC2 security groups for your EC2 instances.

1. In the EC2 Dashboard, select Security Groups,

2. Create a new security group. Use the following information as a model for configuring your security group:

   • Name: AVEVA-SG

   • Description: Security group for AVEVA instances and EC2 Instance Connect endpoint.

   • VPC: Select the applicable VPC.

3. Add inbound rules. By default, System Platform ports are not configured in AWS security groups. You will need to configure inbound rules for the required ports, as applicable to the products installed on the EC2 instance. See Ports used by System Platform products.
