A subnet is a range of IP addresses in your VPC. For more information about subnets, see Subnets for your VPC.
-
In the VPC Dashboard, select Subnets, and then select Create subnet.
-
Select one of the dedicated VPC you previously created.
-
Enter a name tag for the new subnet (for example, AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1a), then set the Availability Zone (for example, us-east-1a).
-
Set the IPv4 CIDR block (e.g., 10.0.1.0/24).
-
Check that Auto-assign public IP is disabled.
-
Click Create subnet.
-
Repeat steps 1 through 6 to create another subnet (for example, AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1b) in a different Availability Zone (for example, us-east-1b) .
