A subnet is a range of IP addresses in your VPC. For more information about subnets, see Subnets for your VPC.

  1. In the VPC Dashboard, select Subnets, and then select Create subnet.

  2. Select one of the dedicated VPC you previously created.

  3. Enter a name tag for the new subnet (for example, AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1a), then set the Availability Zone (for example, us-east-1a).

  4. Set the IPv4 CIDR block (e.g., 10.0.1.0/24).

  5. Check that Auto-assign public IP is disabled.

  6. Click Create subnet.

  7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 to create another subnet (for example, AVEVA-Private-Subnet-1b) in a different Availability Zone (for example, us-east-1b) .
