If a System Platform 2023 R2 SP1 node (with or without Patch 01/Patch02) also includes AVEVA Work Tasks 2023 R2, and Patch 03 is applied, and Aveva Connect SSO is enabled, System Platform IDE does not start.

Workaround:

If this error occurs, do the following:

  1. On the affected node, copy the following two files from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin\AuthenticationProvider

    • Microsoft.Web.WebView2.Core.dll

    • Microsoft.Web.WebView2.WinForms.dll

  2. Paste the files to:
    C\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin

  3. Restart the node.

Licensing issues

If a Galaxy includes AVEVA Workflow Gateway objects and SP2023R2SP1P03 is applied on the node, a licensing acquisition error occurs when launching the IDE, and the IDE does not start.

Workaround: If this error occurs, do the following:

  1. On the affected System Platform node, copy the following two files from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin\Authentication Provider

    • Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Abstractions.dll

    • PCS.Client.DataStore.dll

  2. Paste the files to C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\Bin

  3. Restart the node.
