Manually start a synchronization scan

Automatic scheduling of synchronization scans can be disabled in the configuration for an interface instance. To start a synchronization scan for such an interface, you must start a synchronization scan manually or configure conditions that trigger a synchronization scan. No synchronization scans are initiated by the Sync Engine.

1. Run the PI APS Configuration Utility.

2. Select the interface instance to be synchronized on the Interface: list.

3. Click Sync Now on the toolbar.

   This tells the Synchronization Engine to synchronize this interface next. If the Sync Engine is presently synchronizing another interface, it must complete that synchronization scan before beginning the synchronization scan for the selected interface.
