Enable Sync Engine

The Enable Sync Engine command allows you to disable or enable PI APS synchronization for all interfaces in the Interface: list. If there is not a check next to the Enable Sync Engine command, then the Sync Engine suspends all scheduling, including the check for immediate synchronization. Effectively, synchronization is disabled for all interfaces. If there is a check next to Enable Sync Engine, then the Sync Engine schedules synchronizations as described in Synchronization scheduling. Click this command to toggle the setting.

Note: If the Sync Engine is disabled while a synchronization scan is in progress, the synchronization is aborted.

This setting acts as a master on/off switch for synchronization. If the Sync Engine is disabled, no individual interface can be enabled. However, if the Sync Engine is enabled, the registered interfaces can be individually disabled or enabled for synchronization.
