Click the Debug command to open the Debug Settings for interface dialog box:

PI APS Connector Timeout

If the PI APS Connector for the currently selected interface has no timeout, the message states that this connector does not have a timeout. If the PI APS Connector for the currently selected interface has a timeout, the timeout date is displayed. Timeouts are used for beta versions.

Sync Engine Debug Setting

If the Loading of APS Connectors box is checked, the Sync Engine writes debugging messages relating to updating its internal table of interfaces enabled for PI APS (see Synchronization scheduling). Messages are written to the pipc.log file. Normally, this box is not checked.

PI APS Connector Debug Setting

The check boxes in the PI APS Connector Debug Setting area enable debugging messages for the currently selected interface. For each type of action that is checked, the Sync Engine logs messages about its internal operation. For the Retrieving updated attributes (GetUpdatedAttributes) and Retrieving Available points (GetAvailablePoints) check boxes, the PI APS Connector may also log messages about its internal operation. Depending on the number of PI points and/or data source tags associated with an interface, enabling the debug settings can result in a very large number of messages in the log files. Messages from the Sync Engine are written to the synchronization log and to the pipc.log file. Messages from the PI APS Connector may be written to the pipc.log file, the synchronization log, or both. Normally, these boxes are not checked.
