Check for Spaces in Your evars

  • In the evars.init file, check there are no extra spaces in the evars values, including at the end of a line. For example:

    • “set pmllib=%aveva_design_exe%pmllib\” is correct.

    • “set pmllib=%aveva_design_exe%pmllib\ is incorrect.

Licensing Setup

  • Verify the environment variable AVEVA_LICENSE_SERVER_LIST is set to

    https://license.connect.aveva.com

  • If it is and the problem persists, check with your commercial office that your company has the appropriate credits agreement.

Check Permissions on Cloud Store Project Files

  • Work with your Administrator to find the file path for the project files, it should be in the format:

    \\<edge connector machine name>\cloudstore\<project name>

  • Navigate to this folder in Windows File Explorer.

  • If there are any problems opening this it suggests there are permissions missing.

  • Reach out to your administrator or IT team to resolve this.

Review Log Information

  • Find the log file of failed requests to the AVEVA Unified Engineering - Spectrum service at:

    %AVEVA_DESIGN_WORK%\spectrum.log

  • Check this file for errors.

  • If you raise a support request with AVEVA please supply a copy of this file.
