Create and associate asset

Create Asset

User must have correct permissions to perform this activity.

1. From the main window, select Assets.

2. Select Search and then New Asset.

   

3. Enter a name. Each new asset created automatically creates an EBOM, FBOM, and MBOM hierarchy as well.

Associate Asset to PBOM

4. To associate the new asset to a PBOM, it must first belong to a project.

   1. Select nine-dots and then Projects.

   2. Select Search.

   3. Select the desired project.

   4. Select Edit.

   5. Select the Asset and then Search.

   6. Select the new asset to be added and select OK.

   7. Select Done. The asset is now associated to a project.

5. Review the members of the project team listed to ensure all desired users have permission to the project and by extension, the newly created asset.

   8. To ensure permission to the new asset and if not already open, open the asset.

   9. Select Owner and then Edit.

   10. Use the Identities tab below to add yourself or others to the asset.

   11. Select New Identity.

   12. Select the identity required.

   13. Select OK.

6. Select Save and Done.
