Create TDP Purpose and Configuration

The TDP Purpose must first be established before it is available for TDP Configuration.

Create TDP Purpose

This configures the publishing types a customer uses and establishes the need (or purpose) of the publishing event. The purpose will be available in AVEVA Unified Engineering once created in Innovator.

1. In Innovator, from the Contents tree select Asset Lifecycle Management, then Configuration and then TDP Purpose.

2. Select Edit. Either update an existing Purpose or create a new purpose.

3. Select New Purpose.

4. Type the Label.

5. Copy the same entry into the Value.

6. Select Done and Save.

Create TDP Configuration

The TDP configuration indicates the workflow to be used when exporting the TDP by specifying the Owner and Purpose. This must first be configured here to be available in AVEVA Unified Engineering.

This example of the Purpose type, Issue for Information, is used for illustration.

7. In Innovator, from the Contents menu select Asset Lifecycle Management, and then Configuration and finally TDP Configuration.

8. Select a Purpose from the list.

9. Specify the Purpose and the Owner. If owner is left blank it will apply to all Owners.

10. Select any of the three options for what will automatically be published when selected:

    • Create Document

    • Create Tag

    • Create PBSE

    • Trigger Validation will be used in a future release

11. Then select the following parameters to help define further:

    • Container Type: Most likely check pack

    • Document Relationship: The item’s document type

    • Workflow Template: This identifies the workflow used during the publishing process

12. The Distribution List section identifies what email is used for notification when the TDP is published. Specify the recipient by selecting an Email Template.

13. Select Save and Done.
