Identify and validate a part name

Parts often use different names in different systems. Parts are harmonized in ISM and then imported into Engineering; however, the names might not always exactly match. Name in UE is supplied by Dabacon. Name in ALM is supplied by the ISM class library.

Use the Object Info window to review part names.

1. Select the Object Info window and enter a part number.

2. Select Enter.

   

   The attributes for the part appear.

3. Use the Attributes search filters to refine the selections found when searching.

4. Notice in the example above, the word Description from the Name in UE filter differs slightly from Tag Description in Name in ALM for the same part.
