Install Deliverables Management Add-Ins

This section describes the installation steps to install asset lifecycle management's Add-ins for Deliverables Management and Deliverables Management Publishing Service.

Note: If using AVEVA Unified Engineering 3.0 or higher, do not install Add-ins for Deliverables Management as these components are already included.

This section can be skipped if AVEVA Unified Engineering 3.0 or higher is installed, thus AVEVA Deliverables Management is already installed. The standalone products that need to be updated are:

• AVEVA Engineering

• AVEVA E3D Design

• AVEVA Diagrams

Download the installers from the Product Hub of the Knowledge and Support Center. Search for AVEVA Deliverables Management and download the required packages.

Run the installers

Once downloaded, run the installers locally using an administrative account.

1. Log in to the default Local Service account on the server.

2. Double-click the MSI to begin.

3. The installation wizard guides you through the installation steps and adds AVEVA Deliverables Management capabilities to the selected product. The installer performs the following steps:

   • Checks if the prerequisite are met (correct version of the AVEVA product and AVEVA Gateway for Unified Engineering is installed)

   • Checks if enough disk space is available

   • Copies the AVEVA Deliverables Management files into the ALM folder of the installation folder of the AVEVA product

   • Places a new entry into the addins.xml file

   • Updates the registry

Install the AVEVA Deliverables Management Publishing Service

This installation enables the ability to publish from AVEVA Engineering and AVEVA E3D to publish to Aras Innovator. The steps described in this section are mandatory for AVEVA Unified Engineering installation and standalone AVEVA product installations. To install the AVEVA Deliverables Management Publishing Service please download the package: deliverablesmanagement-publish-service.exe.

4. Log in to the default Local Service account on the server.

5. Double-click the installer to begin.

6. Choose the AVEVA Deliverables Management Publishing Service installation folder.

7. After the installation is finished a configuration page appears.

8. Specify the Working folder path and note that this folder's contents will keep increasing if the retention period is set to zero. In this case, select a drive with enough space or the ability to add additional memory.

   Note: Please disregard the Alert Mail section as it is not used by AVEVA Deliverables Management Publishing Service and will be removed from the next release.

This information is saved into a file named appsettings.json and is located in the installation folder. Because of security concerns, the access to the installation folder and especially to the configuration file should be set to read-only for all users except administrators.

The service is registered as a Windows Service and runs under the default Local Service account.
