Create a transmittal

From the Contents menu, select Asset Lifecycle Management then Transmittals.

Select Create New Transmittal.

Enter the following information so that it flows through on the cover sheet of the transmittal:

• Type: Outgoing is the default when delivering a TDP

• Description: What is included in the transmittal

• Issued To: The recipient of the transmittal

• Reason for Issue: Provide context, for example Issue for comments

• Export Template: Select the Transmittal template (customer defined)

From the Content tab add documents using the Add Transmittal Items button or select Add Check Pack Affected Items button to add all the documents associated to the check pack.

• Select the magnifying glass to reveal all items or use the filtering ability from the blue search fields. Visibility to documents or check packs is governed by project association as both users and documents must belong to the same project.

• Select or highlight the desired documents and select OK.

Select the Additional Attachments tab which provide supporting content for the Transmittal - a cover sheet that provides the details and purpose as well as a Comment Response Sheet for the reviewer.

• To create either, select the 3-dot button and select Generate Cover Sheet or Create Comment Response Sheet. Both are created in the Additional Attachment area which is programmatically created with the transmittal information.

  Note: If the information changes in the Transmittal after creation, then a new sheet must be re-generated.

If email notifications are required, select the Distribution List tab.

• Select the Add Identities button.

• Find and select the individuals or groups.

• Select OK.

Select Done and Save. If the asset has not been selected, the system asks for this information before successfully saving.
