Verification that Data Archive processes are running

When Data Archive is running, all its processes should be running. When Data Archive is stopped, all Data Archive processes should be stopped. The exception is pishutev, which only runs briefly at startup.

To view the status of PI services, use the PI SMT PI Services tool: in PI SMT, select Operation > PI Services. Even when the tool lists a process as running, the process might not be communicating with PI Network Manager. To verify that each process communicates properly, use piartool :

piartool -thread subsystem -info

To list all processes that run as services, enter at the command prompt:

net start

If you are running a Data Archive process or interface interactively, that process has a separate command window labeled with the process name.
