Target directory for backup

When you issue the baseline backup command, you specify the path to the scheduled backup directory. Here are a few examples of valid paths:

C:\pibackup\
\\myserver\c$\pibackup\
\\myserver\share\pibackup\

We do not recommend UNC paths because the PI Backup Subsystem does not retry if network errors occur. If you do use a UNC path, you can specify a path to a shared directory on a remote computer, but you cannot use mapped network drives.
