Data Archive Administration

Start and stop Data Archive safely

Data Archive runs as a collection of Windows services. These services are typically configured to start automatically at computer startup. If you need to shut down or restart the Windows operating system, always stop Data Archive first. Otherwise, you could lose data due to the service timeouts. You could also lose data that is still in memory and not flushed to disk.

To stop the Data Archive, navigate to the PI\Adm folder, and run pisrvstop.bat as an administrator. It is recommended to create desktop shortcuts for both pisrvstart.bat and pisrvstop.bat.
