Specify archives to be coerced

Use the -coerceDigitalSets option to specify an archive that should have its records coerced to reflect the current digital state set. For more information about coercion, see Coerce digital state sets.

Coerce archive records by issuing a command with the following syntax:

piarchss -coerceDigitalSets -if input_path -of output_path [-tagmask tagmask]

The -coerceDigitalSets option indicates that if the archive contains records with a timestamp before a digital state set change occurred, coercion forces those older records to reflect the current digital state set. The -coerceDigitalSets option must appear first after the piarchss command.

The input_path is the full path and file name of the input archive to be coerced.

The output_path is the full path and file name of the output archive.

The optional -tagmask parameter identifies a specific point or tag mask that must be coerced. When using this option, provide a target point name or tag mask.
