Windows performance counter monitoring

To gather statistics about how your Data Archive system is running, use Windows performance counters. In order to do this, the PI PerfMon interface must be installed and configured. View data from these counters in either of the following ways:

• Run the PI Performance Monitor interface (PIPerfMon) and it will collect data from Windows performance counters for which you create PI points in PI SMT.

• You can create PI points for PI System performance counters as well as for Windows counters, such as CPU utilization. To observe performance trends, create a AVEVA PI Vision display that contains those points.

• Use Windows Performance Monitor.
