EngUnits

The Engineering Unit string describes the units of the measurement. Note that Data Archive does not interpret the engineering units, this string is simply a label.

You can use a string of any length; however, PI API retrieves only the first 12 characters. PI SDK does not truncate the string.

Examples include:

DEGF
Degrees Centigrade
Gal/Min
Gallons Per Minute
' " Hg

Engineering Unit strings are case preserving, but not case sensitive on search. The system trims leading and trailing blanks during input.
