Unit Manager

The Unit Manager is a specialist tool to enable you to enter new unit categories and new units for each of those categories.

The Unit Manager can be accessed by:

• Selecting Unit Manager from the View menu, or

• Pressing the icon on the toolbar.

Process Model Manager Reference Manual is distributed with a large set of standard units corresponding to all normal measurement units for property value measurement, including a wide range of viscosity units, temperature units and density units. The complete list of standard units can be found in Units.

However, Process Model Manager Reference Manual is entirely configurable to provide the units you prefer to use. There are three distinct modes of use of the Unit Manager:

• Adding a new unit category

• Adding a new unit to an existing unit category

• Checking a unit conversion formula

A unit category is the identifier for a physically measurable quantity (for example, temperature). A unit (all of which belong to unit categories) identifies the actual measurement unit (e.g. the unit category temperature may contain the units Fahrenheit, Celsius and Kelvin)

To remove a unit category (this action is only valid for user defined unit categories), select the unit category on the left side of the Unit Manager, and press the button.
