Base + delta settings

Base + Delta Grids

• Link Step Size across Bases: select this option to automatically update the step size in all Bases when edited in a single Base.

• Adjust Delta Values when Editing Step Size: select this option to automatically scale any delta for a property when changing the step size for that property, so for example, if a vector is 10 and the step size is changed from 1 to 0.5 then the vector will automatically scale to 5.

• Delta Value Display Format: select the number of number display format for the calculated delta values.

Base+Delta Model Parameters

• View Expert Parameters: select this option to always show the Expert Parameter options for process unit models. Expert Parameters can also be shown by selecting the option in the Property Grid of the Topology editor.

• Model Parameter Display Format: select the number format for the numeric parameters of process unit models.

Base+Delta Model

• Calculate Comparison Values

• Use Adjustors: Enable adjustors in the Base+Delta Model page. Adjustors are used to offset particular output values after regression.

Base+Delta Model Analysis

• Threshold for changes in values between bases: the minimum allowed change in delta value between bases, if the change is less than this the cell is shown orange; there is no reason for delta to be the same with different bases as the model is non-linear

• Threshold for relative size of the changes between bases: the maximum change in delta value between a pair of bases, relative to the change in value between other pairs of bases, above this the cell is shown red (so if the threshold was 4, and if delta changed from 0.1 to 0.5 between Base A and Base B, and from 0.5 to 3 between Base B and Base C, then a warning would be shown because the relative change of 2.5 is more than 4 times 0.4)

• Upper threshold of delta relative to base: the maximum value for the average value of delta/base value over all the bases, over which the cell is shown red; high values indicate that a negative value could be predicted on a large change in step size

• Lower threshold of delta relative to base: the value limit for the average value of delta/base value over all the bases, under which the cell is shown green; small values indicate that the delta could be zeroed to remove the effect in the model

Data Sets

• Show data set calculation errors with red shading: show any problems with calculated values in the Data Set grid after calculating the values

• Regress after calculating data sets: automatically regress the model after calculating the data sets

Diagnostics

Select the type of Diagnostic messages to report when building a case using the Report menu.

• Generate Verbose Diagnostics: select this option to include additional information in the diagnostic messages.

• Save Diagnostics With Cases: select this option to save the current diagnostic messages along with the Case settings and data. Other users viewing the Case will be able to view these diagnostic messages.

• Export/Publish Diagnostics With Cases: select this option to include the current diagnostic messages in the Case output spreadsheet.
