Filter diagnostics messages

Diagnostic messages can also be filtered using the Filter menu. Use the drop-down menu to select the type of diagnostic messages you would like to receive. By default only Error and Warning messages are displayed in the Diagnostics List. The type of messages displayed in the Diagnostics List can be changed by selecting the check box next to the required message type's name using the Filter drop-down menu.

Clicking the Configure Filters icon opens the Filter Configuration dialog which allows you to define filters to limit the type of messages shown in the Information Area. In the Filter Configuration dialog click the add filter icon and give the new filter a name. Use the filter conditions to define which type of messages you would like to appear in the list. To add several conditions to the filter click the icon. You can add many conditions of different types to the filter.

It is possible to copy or save the contents of the Diagnostics List for use in reporting. To save the current contents of the Information Area click the Save icon . In the Export details to... dialog enter a name for the saved file and choose the required file type. The data can be exported as a text file or as a ssf file. To copy the contents of the information area for pasting into another application click the Copy icon .
