Multiple bases graph

The Multiple Bases graph shows the variation in output properties in each of the different bases configured in the Case. If the Case only has a single base no results will be shown on the Multiple Bases graph.

The Multiple Bases graph can be used to review the variation of properties across the bases to confirm that generated trends match with experience. The graph has two menus to configure how the results of the graph are plotted:

  • Output - the list of properties generated by the Base + Delta model, the values of which are displayed on the y-axis of the graph

  • Delta - the delta properties configured for the Case used as drivers for the model.

To review the variation in output properties across the bases:

  • Select the required Delta property using the menu, if necessary select the check box next to the menu

  • Scroll through the list of available Output properties to review the change in the property across bases in response to the selected Delta

Display Options. you can choose what is displayed on the graph by selecting or deselecting the three check boxes under the Display heading:

  • Current Model: displays the current values from the Base + Delta model as green dots connected by a solid green line.

  • Standard Regression: displays the standard regression values as black crosses connected by a solid black line.

  • Linearized Values: displays the linearized values as a dashed red line.

Base+Delta Model Options: The radio buttons under the Model heading give you four options to override the values of the Base + Delta model shown in the graph. These four options are described in the following paragraphs:

Standard Regression. This option sets the values in the graph to those obtained by performing a data regression. This is done by clicking the Regress Data icon ().

Linearized values. When you regress data by clicking the Regress Data icon () the graph also shows linearized values as a red dashed line. Select the Linearize Values check box to replace the original model values displayed in the graph, either base values or delta values, with the linearized values.

Single value. You can replace the values displayed in the graph, either base or delta values, with a single value. To do so, select the Single Value radio button. The Single Value regression is the same as the linearised regression, except that the line is forced to have zero gradient. Frozen delta values are not modified by this option.

Set to Zero. Select the Set to Zero radio button to set the delta values shown in the graph to zero. This option is not available when base values are shown in the graph. Frozen delta values are not modified by this option.

For these options to have any effect on delta values, these need to be unfrozen. To unfreeze delta values, go to the Base+Delta Model page in the Navigator, select one or more values in the table, right click and choose Unfreeze Delta Values from the menu.

Frozen delta values are not modified. Instead, the linearized curve is forced through any frozen values. The curve is updated immediately whenever a value is frozen or unfrozen.

The Standard Regression option is selected. The Current Model line matches the Standard Regression line.

The Linearized Values option is selected. The Current Model line matches the Linearized Values line.

The Single Value option is selected. All the Current Model data points have the same value.

The Set to Zero option is selected. All the Current Model data points are set to zero.
