Create a new generation case

-
Click the
button and select Base + Delta Generation Case from the drop down menu.
Enter the case details

Enter a Name, Version and Description for the Case on the Details page. Also select a Refinery and a Model Type. Finally, select the basis for the case (weight/volume) from the drop-down menu and the default temperature unit for any entered temperature values.
If needed, modify the calorific value constants for Standard Refinery Fuel and Non-Liquid Fuel Equivalent, and edit their variable names.
Set up CDU topology

Select the Topology โ Schematic page and create the schematic of the unit being modelled using the topology interface Create Refinery Topologies.
Add input properties

Select the Model Definition โ Inputs page. Click the Add Property button
and add each property which is used as an input parameter to drive the Base + Delta
model.
Set up outputs

Select the Model Definition โ Outputs page. Click the Add Property button
and add each property which is required to be calculated by the Base + Delta model.
These properties should all be calculable by the process unit models included in the
topology.
Configure data sets
Select Data Sets List. Click the
button to add a new Data Set. In the Data Set dialog enter a Name for the Data Set, and change the Type to Calculated to calculate the Data Set values using the process unit model rather than entering
the data manually.
Click the
button to open the Select Crudes dialog. In the Select Crudes dialog search for the assay to use as an input for the
process unit model. Add more than one assay to create a blend, in which case you should
choose whether to blend by weight or volume from the Blend Using radio buttons, and change the ratios in the Crudes table.
Add new Data Sets for each other crude feed which should also be modelled using the process unit model.

Calculate data sets

Click the Generate button to use the process unit model to generate results for each Data Set. Use the Diagnostics page to review the model input and output if necessary.
Perform regression
Click the Regress button
to calculate the Base + Delta models based on the Data Sets.
